Baste. Quilt. Bind.

Here's some info on basting, quilting and binding.

First you'll layer your quilt: bottom fabric(right side down), batting, quilt top (right side up). Then you baste...

Basting: click here for a great tutorial. You can also use a spray baste such as these instead of pinning.

Quilting: For this quilt I would recommend stitching in the ditch (along the seams of the strips). You may want to use a light colored thread on top such as cream and then match your bottom thread to the bottom of your quilt. You can also try free-hand quilting, here's a good tutorial on that.

Binding: There are many ways to do this. I'll give tutorials on just a few.

Self-binding: Look at the end of Nicole G's table runner tutorial for instructions on how to self bind your quilt. (No bias tape needed!)

Bias Tape: This tutorial includes instructions on how to make your own bias tape as well as the traditional way of attaching it. You can also purchase bias tape at Joann's. You'll want to make sure you buy double fold and I would recommend getting a larger size, at least 1/2".

Heather Bailey's Continuous Quilt Binding (My personal favorite)
Note: If you're going to use Heather Bailey's binding method you only need to iron your bias tape in half.
